National Nurse Week: May 6 - 12, 2020. National Nurses Week begins each year on May 6th and ends on May 12th, Florence Nightingale's birthday.

Why we are celebrating this day?
- International Nurses Day is the day celebrated around the world on 12 May of each year, to mark the contributions nurses make to society
- It was the first secular nursing school in the world, now part of King's College London.
- Her social reforms included improving healthcare for all sections of British society, advocating better hunger relief in India.

According to the official website of WHO, on the occasion of the International Day of the Nurse and the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale, the organization has joined hundreds of partners worldwide to highlight the importance of nurses in the healthcare continuum and thank nurses for what they do.
